Are you a real party animal?
Some people consider themselves a real party animal, but in practice they don’t get any further than the local neighborhood pub. “Partying” for such people equals ingestion. Usually it concerns vases, beer in large glasses and in huge quantities. When enough drink has flowed, the party animal wakes up. He climbs on chairs and tables, sings loudly and gives many rounds. The party animal is therefore immensely popular with other party animals and drinking brothers. But the party animal isn’t exactly funny. At most for the Bob, who can see how the party animal makes a joke of himself. It really has little to do with parties. It’s mainly alcohol abuse. Because of the many beer that is not drunk. But because of the violation of the commandment “Enjoy, but drink in moderation.”

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with going crazy once in a while. You have a great night of fun and have to pay for it the next day with a hangover. Think of a bachelor party where it is the intention that all brakes are released. But for once then. Such evenings then fade into oblivion. And that’s a good thing, as the photos often prove. The party animal takes off his clothes, does things he normally wouldn’t dare and often comes home with something he didn’t really feel like (a tattoo, a piercing or maybe something less tangible but certainly unpleasant).
The opposite of partying in style
Echte feestbeesten zijn niet per definitie kroegtijgers. Het echte feestbeest weet van ieder moment een feest te maken. Niet omdat ze overal het positieve van inzien (jèk) , maar omdat het leven met een korreltje zout nemen. Ze hebben geen drank of drugs nodig om zichzelf te zijn. Ze doen zich niet anders voor maar kunnen lachen om zichzelf. Wanneer je nuchter bent, is zelfhumor niet pathetisch, maar werkt ook op andermans lachspieren. De schouwburgen zitten vol met cabaretiers die de draak met zichzelf en anderen steken. Een leuk verkleedsetje helpt daar uitstekend bij.
Feesten in stijl
Een opposuit is zo’n pak waarmee je indruk wekt maar ook de lachers op je hand krijgt. De opposuit straalt uit dat je op een slimme wijze omgaat met het goede in het leven. Nou ja slim? Ik moet altijd denken aan mijnheer Dröge die na een avondje Gooise matras, met een ijszak op het hoofd in bed belandde. Hij had op een cynische edoch beschaafde manier commentaar op het gepeupel, maar kon dat niet zonder de nodige hoeveelheid alcohol. Een feestbeest was het dan ook zeer zeker niet. Of aan Freek de Jonge die ook altijd met de meest waanzinnige (door zijn vrouw ontworpen) kostuums het podium betrad. Zo’n maffe outfit roept spanning op. Je weet zeker dat dit een leuke avond gaat worden!
Dus heb je behoefte aan een beetje feest en reuring in je leven, probeer dan eens een andere outfit. Een camouflagepak bijvoorbeeld, maar een spannende jurk kan ook een heel leuke avond opleveren!
